Boardwalk Art Show & Festival's Patron Program is a new museum fundraiser for 2011. Patrons can participate at the $1,000 Collector or $500 Advocate
levels. These amounts include a tax-deductible donation that helps
support The Contemporary Art Center of Virginia's (CAC) year-round visual arts programming, which serves 30,000
children and 100,000 adults annually. Patrons then receive "Boardwalk Bucks" in
several denominations to be used for buying art at the Festival (June 16-19, 2011). Patrons will have access to hospitality refreshments
throughout the weekend. Collector level Patrons additionally receive a
limited edition Patron Pin (created by a local artist) that aid
artists in identifying Patrons during the Festival and one VIP Club ticket ($99 value).
Collectors: $1,000 donations will receive $750 in "Boardwalk Bucks," which are monetary chips to be spent on original artworks at Boardwalk Art Show & Festival, a Boardwalk Art Show VIP Club ticket ($99 value) and a limited edition Patron Pin.
Advocate: $500 donations will recieve $350 in "Boardwalk Bucks," which are monetary chips to be spent on original artworks at Boardwalk Art Show & Festival, and hospitality refreshments.
CAC would like to extend our deepest gratitude to our art patrons. This new Patron Program will help us to attract top name artists to the Boardwalk Art Show & Festival, encouraging monetary commitments among local art buyers
prior to the event.

The Contemporary Art Center of Virginia (CAC) is a nonprofit institution founded in 1952 to foster awareness, exploration and understanding of the significant art of our time. Regularly changing exhibitions feature painting, sculpture, photography, glass, video and other visual media from internationally acclaimed artists as well as artists of national and regional renown. By balancing its four primary activities--gallery exhibitions, studio art classes, educational outreach programs and outdoor art shows--the Contemporary Art Center of Virginia seeks to involve a diverse regional public in the rich and active language of contemporary visual art. CAC is supported by the Virginia Commission for the Arts, National Endowment for the Arts, Business Consortium for Arts Support, the Norfolk Foundation and the Virginia Beach Arts and Humanities Commission.
